• Fill out the required fields. 
• You will receive an email to confirm your email address - follow the instructions in the email. 
• Return to engage.mapleridge.ca and click "Sign In" at the top right corner of your screen.

Note: When commenting on forums or participating in public engagements, your comments will appear under your username. This means you can comment anonymously through a username of your choice.

One-time registration is encouraged for number of reasons including but not limited to:

• Helps You Stay Connected
  Registrants can opt in for updates on specific projects (new engagement opportunities, changes to the consultation, etc.) and subscribe to upcoming newsletters, so they never miss out on an opportunity to share their feedback. 
• Improves Data  
  Registered participation helps to minimize the chance of information being manipulated by someone who provides feedback posing as multiple people in support or opposition of a position. 
• Ensures Feedback Comes From Citizens
  Registration, which requires a postal code, helps ensure that feedback is coming from citizens of Maple Ridge and helps staff understand citizens' general location in relation to projects.

Yes! Even when you register and post comments, your anonymity is protected because you choose your username.

This website is hosted by Granicus on behalf of the City of Maple Ridge. Any communication will always come to you through the platform, so your email address is not shared.

Engage Maple Ridge is intended to provide citizens with an easy-to-use, online platform for engagement opportunities that is streamlined across all City departments. This will complement, not replace, the many ways the City of Maple Ridge collects feedback and communicates with the public. 

With this platform, citizens can:

• Keep up to date on key projects.
• Subscribe for updates* on projects that interest them (*registration required).
• Provide input in a variety of ways (surveys, discussion forums, etc.). Please note that registration is required for some feedback opportunities.
• View and respond to input from other citizens.
• Engage with their City from the comfort of home.

All discussion forums, guest books and questions and answers are moderated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for inappropriate language, or discriminatory comments.

All moderation is carried out by Granicus for the City of Maple Ridge. The Engage Maple Ridge team, made up of City staff, will also moderate the site. 

Moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed from the site immediately and the person who posted the comment is advised by email.

Yes! Your privacy is protected and your email address will only be used to contact you with updates (for which you opt it) and to invite you to participate in consultations. Your email address will not be distributed to any third party or used for any other purpose.
