Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2025 Community Survey!
Results of the independent 2025 Community Survey were presented to Council on January 27, 2026. Conducted by Earnscliffe and Leger in October–November 2025, there were 711 surveys submitted from residents and business owners. Results were then weighted by age and gender to reflect Maple Ridge’s population.
Key Results:
- Community pride remains strong, with 70% of respondents agreeing Maple Ridge has natural beauty, community spirit, and economic potential; 56% say Maple Ridge is an attractive place to live, particularly for its natural spaces and family-friendly neighbourhoods.
- Top service priorities continue to be road maintenance (96%), fire protection (93%), and police services (93%).
- Most frequently noted issues include infrastructure investment (59%), traffic congestion (45%), taxes (35%), and public safety (35%).
- Direct interactions with City services are rated positively overall, with staff helpfulness a key strength.
- 95% say continued investment in long-term capital projects is important; Awareness of the 2025–2029 Capital Works Program is low (69% unfamiliar); Support for the program is moderate, with uncertainty largely linked to limited awareness.

- Support continuous improvement across City departments
