Fairview Park was developed in 1995 and includes two playgrounds, walking pathways through a grove of mature trees, a basketball court, and tennis court.

The playground for children ages 2 – 5 years is located near the entrance to the park on 122 Ave. and the playground for children ages 5 -12 years is located close to Fairview Elementary School.

These playgrounds are currently over 25 years of age and are showing signs of wear. This park renovation initiative aims to ensure that the new play structures continue the City’s commitment to providing safe play environments that meet the needs and preferences of local families. The City is proposing to replace both playgrounds at Fairview Park as part of the City’s Parks Lifecycle Replacement program.

As part of the community engagement process, we would like to hear from you on:

• what play features you would like to see in the new playground
• any other park amenities that you would like to see included in Fairview Park.

The engagement for this project is at the "involve" level of the International Association for Public Participation's (IAP2) Spectrum of Public Participation.
