Background
Jordan Park was developed in the early 1970’s and features a baseball/softball field and a half basketball court. The current playground is located in the south side of the park and includes a 4-seat swing set and play structure that were installed in 1998.
The City is proposing to replace the playground at Jordan Park as part of the City’s Parks lifecycle replacement program and to ensure that the new play structures continue the City’s commitment to providing safe play environments that meet the needs of local families.
As part of the community engagement process, we learned:
- what play features the community would like to see in the new playground
- any other park amenities that the community would like to see included in Jordan Park.
Jordan Park is located at 21018 117 Ave.
Level of Engagement - Involve
The engagement for this project is at the "involve" level of the International Association for Public Participation's (IAP2) Spectrum of Public Participation. This means that we will work with you (the public) to ensure that your concerns and aspirations are directly reflected in the project. We will also provide feedback on how public input influenced the decision.
