Background

The last City website update was undertaken in 2018. In 2023 the City began its website rebuild project. Following a competitive bid process to contract a web developer, the City selected Upanup, a website design firm with extensive experience building innovative municipal websites.

2023-2024 TimelineAs part of the development process, the City conducted a public engagement survey. The input received help shape the design of the new website - making it more user-friendly, accessible and informative to residents, visitors and businesses. Here's what we learned:

Level of Engagement

The engagement for this project is at the "inform" and "consult" levels of the International Association for Public Participation's (IAP2) Spectrum of Public Participation. This means that we will keep you informed, listen to and acknowledge concerns and aspirations, and provide feedback on how public input influenced the decision. Learn more about how we use the Spectrum as a foundation for community engagement here.
